Short version - Season 35 starts Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, runs two hours, and comes back for a second premiere night on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the same time.

What time does DWTS start in my time zone?

ABC airs the show live in the East and Central bands, then on delay out West. That split matters if you plan to vote.

Voting closes on the East Coast clock, so Pacific viewers who wait for their local air time are voting after the fact.

Where can you stream it?

Disney+ and Hulu both carry the show. Disney+ has been the live simulcast home for recent seasons, which is the one to open if you want it in real time.

If you only want the results, the episode sits on demand the following morning. That is the cheaper route for anyone who does not vote.

Who is competing this season?

The full lineup was announced Sept. 2 on Good Morning America. We covered that morning in the Season 35 cast reveal, including the pro pairings that were public at the time.

Two firsts are worth flagging. Witney Carson is competing while four months pregnant, and Sarah Jane Nader is set to dance with a female pro.

What actually happens on night one?

Every couple dances once. Nobody usually goes home.

Here is the pattern we counted across recent premieres: the first night is scored but the first elimination lands in week two, once the audience vote has a full cycle to work with. Treat Tuesday as a baseline, not a verdict.

One thing to watch - premiere scores compress badly. Half the field lands within two points of each other, so the gap that matters is the one between the top couple and the middle, not the bottom.

How does the rest of the fall schedule look?

Correction, Sept. 12: an earlier version of this page described the premiere as a single night. ABC is running it across two — Sept. 15 and Sept. 16, both 8 p.m. ET — because 16 couples do not fit in one two-hour show. Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET is the season-long slot from Sept. 22 on. That puts DWTS opposite a busy competition night, and our fall 2026 reality guide lays out what else is running.

Two other returns bracket it: Survivor starts Sept. 23 and The Voice on Sept. 21. For the week-by-week picture we keep the weekly rundown current, and Big Brother's run to its Oct. 1 finale is still going in the same stretch.

Day-by-day listings for the whole premiere week are in our Sept. 14-20 schedule.
