What Time Is The Traitors: New Blood On Tonight? The Two-Hour NBC Premiere, Explained

Alan Cumming's castle is getting a cast nobody has heard of. The Traitors: New Blood premieres tonight, Thursday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. ET (7 Central) on NBC, and it runs two full hours.

That's two episodes back to back, not one long one. Episode 1 fills the 8 o'clock hour and Episode 2 follows at 9. If you only record the first hour, you'll miss the first roundtable.

What makes New Blood different from the Peacock version?

The cast. Peacock's Emmy-winning series is built on celebrities and reality veterans. New Blood is NBC's civilian edition: 22 everyday Americans, none of them famous.

NBC's own pitch is that the players "know little to nothing" about each other. No reputations to lean on, no alliances carried over from other shows. More than 60,000 people applied.

How many episodes are there, and when is the finale?

NBC hasn't put a finale date in its announcement. TVmaze's episode guide, though, already lists 12 episodes, and the pattern is easy to read.

Two double nights bookend the season: Sept. 17 and Sept. 24 up front, Nov. 19 at the end. Between them, one episode a week from Oct. 8 through Nov. 12.

Note the gap. There's no episode listed for Thursday, Oct. 1. NBC hasn't explained it, so treat the whole calendar as provisional until the network confirms it.

Where can you stream The Traitors: New Blood?

Peacock, the day after each NBC airing. So tonight's two episodes land on Peacock Friday, Sept. 18.

What else is on Thursday at 8?

Big Brother. CBS has Big Brother 28 Episode 31 at 8 p.m. ET, a live eviction night, in the same hour. Fans of both will be picking a DVR.
