Reality TV Next Week (Sept. 14–20, 2026): DWTS Opens Two Nights, AGT Semifinals, MasterChef Crowns a Winner

The gist — next week is the busiest stretch of the fall so far. Dancing with the Stars opens Season 35 across two nights, Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16, America's Got Talent runs its live semifinals on the same two nights, MasterChef crowns a Season 16 winner Wednesday, and Big Brother keeps its three-episode week on the way to an Oct. 1 finale.

Monday update: two things changed since we first posted this. NBC's The Traitors: New Blood premieres Thursday, Sept. 17 with two back-to-back episodes from 8 p.m., and Thursday's Big Brother is now a two-hour double eviction. Both are in the table below.

What is on every night next week?

All times Eastern. We built this from TVmaze episode listings and checked the premieres and finales against the networks' own announcements.

What time does Dancing with the Stars start, and why is it on twice?

Season 35 opens with back-to-back episodes: Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16, both at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming on Hulu. After that the season settles into Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

A two-night open is not decoration. With 16 couples this season, one two-hour show cannot fit everybody dancing, so the field splits across the two nights. Who gets eliminated on AGT next week?

NBC runs the Season 21 live semifinals Tuesday, Sept. 15, with the results the following night. Sixteen semifinalists are left, and the show has been cutting the field a round at a time since August.

The last cut we covered in detail was the fourth quarterfinal on Sept. 8. Results night is the one to watch live if you care about the outcome, because the votes close on the Eastern clock.

When does MasterChef Season 16 end?

Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. on FOX. That is Finale Part 2, and it is where the winner is named.

How many Big Brother episodes are there next week?

Four, counting the Friday spinoff. Wednesday and Sunday are standard episodes, Thursday is the live eviction, and Big Brother: Unlocked returns Friday at 9 p.m.

Seven houseguests were left after Thursday's vote, which we covered in the Sept. 10 results post. Sunday set up the week: Yash Patel won Head of Household for the second time and put Barrett Pfeiffer, Drew Campbell and Melody Morris on the block. Thursday is the one to plan around. CBS lists it as a two-hour live episode, and it's the double eviction, so two of those seven walk out in a single night.

The season runs to a 90-minute finale on Oct. 1; the full run-out is in our BB28 schedule to the finale.

What time is The Traitors: New Blood on NBC?

Thursday, Sept. 17, from 8 to 10 p.m. ET and PT. NBC is airing the first two episodes back to back, and they land on Peacock the next day.

This one isn't the celebrity version. Alan Cumming hosts again, but the 22 players are non-famous contestants playing for up to $250,000. NBC has two more episodes set for Sept. 24 at 8 p.m., so Thursdays become a two-hour block for now.

That puts it head to head with Big Brother's double eviction. If you can only watch one live, Big Brother is the one with a result that spoils fast; Traitors is on Peacock Friday morning.

What happened at the 90 Day Fiancé Tell All?

Part 1 aired Sunday, Sept. 13 on TLC, with Shaun Robinson hosting the Season 12 cast. The moment most recaps led with came near the end, when Catie left the stage after being confronted over her relationship with Josh.

Part 2 is Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m., the same hour as Big Brother. Maxwell appeared by video because his visa still hadn't come through, according to TV Insider.

What else starts soon?

Two big returns sit just past this window, which is why Thursday's Voice special matters — it is a lead-in, not a season.

What about the weight-loss shows?

TLC keeps its Tuesday block. 1000-lb Sisters airs Season 9, Episode 3 at 9 p.m., and 1000-lb Roomies follows at 10 p.m. with Season 2, Episode 4.
