A three-course menu drawn from their own background - appetizer, entree, dessert - served to the judges in front of a full audience with family in the room.

This is the one format in the season with no safety net. There's no team, no pressure test to claw back into, and no immunity pin to spend.
Why is the finale split in two?
FOX has run the finale as a two-parter before, and the reason is simple enough: three full menus is more food than one hour can hold.
Part 1 gets the cooking. Part 2 gets the tasting, the deliberation and the name.
What else is on Wednesday night?
CBS puts a 90-minute Big Brother 28 in the same slot, so the 8 p.m. hour is a genuine choice this week.
